This space-themed cake smash was designed around a little one's very first trip around the sun. From the stars and planets to the custom cake and astronaut portraits, every detail was created to turn his imagination into a celebration all his own.
We began with portraits that captured his personality and let him settle into his adventure before introducing the cake. Then came the curiosity, the laughter, and eventually the glorious mess. A cake smash is a celebration of that transformation. Before the cake ever comes out, we take time to preserve the little expressions, features, and personality that make this version of your child so completely them.
Then we let them have some fun.

Your experience begins with a conversation. Once you inquire, we'll connect by phone to talk about your little one's upcoming birthday, the kind of celebration you're envisioning, and what you'd love to create.
We'll discuss theme ideas, answer your questions, and walk through what to expect—from planning and preparation to your finished artwork. By the end of our conversation, you'll know exactly what the next step looks like.

Your design consultation takes place in the studio and gives us time to bring your vision to life. Together, we'll choose your theme, colors, styling, props, and wardrobe while reviewing the details that will make your baby's celebration uniquely theirs.
We'll also talk through the artwork you'd love to create from the session, so your portraits are being planned with your home and your story in mind from the very beginning.
3. your portrait experience
When the big day arrives, you get to relax and enjoy it.
We'll begin with beautiful milestone portraits before moving into your thoughtfully designed cake smash experience. Your baby's personality leads the way—we'll follow their cues, capture the expressions and little moments that make them who they are, and let them have some fun along the way.
You don't need to worry about the mess. That's part of my job.
4. Your reveal & order appointment
This is where your portraits become artwork.
At your private reveal and order appointment, we'll view your finished images together and decide which moments you want to preserve. I'll guide you through your artwork options, sizes, finishes, and collections so you can create pieces that feel right for your family and your home.
There's no guessing and no sorting through an online gallery on your own. We'll make these decisions together, in person.
5. artwork pickup & inspection
Before your artwork ever comes home, I personally inspect every finished piece to ensure it meets my standards for quality and craftsmanship.
Once everything has been carefully checked and prepared, you'll return to the studio for your private artwork pickup. We'll review your pieces together one final time before I package them for you to take home and begin enjoying.
Because your artwork should arrive with the same care that went into creating it.
Your creation fee covers the experience. Portraits and artwork are purchased separately.
After your session, you'll return for your private reveal and order appointment, where we'll view your finished portraits together and choose the artwork that's right for your family and your home.

Choose a theme inspired by your child's personality, interests, or the things they love right now. I'll coordinate the backdrop, props, styling, colors, and details to create a celebration designed specifically for them.
ALREADY HAVE A THEME IN STUDIO?
Some of our existing studio themes may be available at a reduced creation fee. Ask during your consultation to see which themes are currently available.
I recommend reserving your session when your baby is around 9–10 months old. This gives us plenty of time to plan your theme, coordinate the details, and create a celebration that feels completely personal to your little one before their first birthday.

Cake smash sessions are typically scheduled when your baby is around 11 months old, giving us time to create and prepare your portraits before their first birthday, invitations, or party. If having your images ready for the celebration isn't a priority, you're welcome to schedule closer to their actual birthday.

Yes. Every cake smash experience includes a custom-designed setup and a cake selected to complement your baby's theme. From the backdrop and styling to the colors, props, and cake, every detail is thoughtfully coordinated to create a cohesive, elevated celebration designed specifically for your little one.
If you'd prefer to celebrate with something other than cake, that's absolutely an option. We'll simply plan an alternative during your design consultation.
That's completely okay—and very normal. Every baby responds differently to a new texture, and we never force the experience. Whether they dive right in, take a more reserved approach, or decide the cake isn't for them at all, we'll follow their cues and capture the expressions, personality, and little moments that make the experience uniquely theirs.
I'll help you plan your baby's wardrobe as part of the design process, and select pieces are available in-studio. Every outfit is chosen to complement your custom setup while keeping the focus where it belongs—on your baby.
Most cake smash sessions take approximately 45–60 minutes, although some little ones need more time depending on their personality, comfort level, and the flow of the session. We never rush your baby. The experience is guided by their cues from beginning to end.
After your session, you'll return for your private reveal and order appointment. We'll view your finished portraits together and choose the images and artwork you'd love to preserve. I'll guide you through the available artwork, sizes, finishes, and arrangements so you don't have to make those decisions alone or sort through an online gallery on your own.
